Our program started in 1998 by a local business woman, after her request to "Toys for Tots" was denied for help to assist in providing kids christmas toys to the less fortunate children in Fernley. In 2003 the American Legions Post #37 took on the program and as of 2019 Christmas for Kids-Fernley is a 501 (c) 3 Non Profit Corporation.
